The Armidale Waldorf School

2021 Kindergarten Enrolments open

The Armidale Waldorf School invites enrolments in our beautiful Kindergarten for 2021

Most children start school with an abundance of imagination, curiosity and the willingness to try new things. At the Armidale Waldorf School we support this with a NESA approved curriculum and creative teaching styles that encourages a lifelong love for learning.

The Armidale Waldorf School is an independent school in a beautiful bushland setting just minutes from Armidale’s CBD, offering programs to children from birth to 14years of age. This includes two weekly playgroups for children 0-3 years, Boongaiai Preschool for children aged 3-5 years and a K-8 primary/high school with a planned expansion to Class 9 in 2022 and Class 10 in 2023.

Our lessons are hands-on and often provoke an emotional connection to the subject, making the lessons memorable and meaningful. This forms a well-rounded education of high academic achievement, physical awareness, creative ability and social/emotional development.

In the early years, we teach numeracy and literacy through stories and movement; in this way the child is not only hearing and seeing the concepts but experiencing them as well.

In primary and high school, we continue a structured schedule of rhythm, allowing for periods of deep concentration, artistic expression and physical activity. This philosophy is based on the teachings of Rudolf Steiner who emphasises the importance of educating the whole person – Head, Heart and Hands.

The Armidale Waldorf School teaches children to love learning, which is more than an education; it’s a foundation for life. For more information call 6772 8876 or email office@waldorf.nsw.edu.au
