NZ Certificate of Steiner Education and Griffith University
At SVSS our senior students are able to follow a full Steiner curriculum through to Class 12 and gain their senior qualification, the NZ Certificate of Steiner Education (NZCSE). By achieving Learning Outcomes in Main Lessons, subject programs, camps and Senior Research Projects, music or leadership programs they can achieve level 1, 2 and 3 over Classes 10, 11 and 12. The NZCSE has been endorsed by QCAA as an equivalent senior certificate program as the Learning Outcomes and moderation of assessment is highly rigorous. They can also participate in some VET programs that we offer.
Excellent news for our current Class 11 students and all future students is that Griffith University has recognised the NZCSE for their early start program and now any of our Class 12 students from 2021 will be able to enter into the GUEST (Griffith University Early Start to Tertiary Studies) program, which means they would have the opportunity if they wished, to study a single course (subject) at Griffith while completing their high school studies. The NZCSE is now listed on their website as an approved entry pathway into this program.
