Class 11/12 Drama Elective

 2020 is an ensemble, self-devised play exploring the theme of the year 2020 and the global crisis we are facing. It is an expression of our young people’s thoughts, ideas, feelings and actions during this time, as we face not just a pandemic but also climate change, bush fires, protests against police violence, racism, and political crisis. The play is a new venture for our students and the first time we have undertaken the challenging process of creating and writing our own script – it is playful and joyful in parts, and earnest and dramatic in other parts, and it offers us a wonderful opportunity to gain insight into what it is like to be a young person during this time.
