Mansfield Steiner School: National Reconciliation Week Mandalas

27 May 1967 – On this day, Australia’s most successful referendum saw more than 90 per cent of Australians vote to give the Australian Government power to make laws for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and recognise them in the Census.

Today we celebrate the beginning of Reconciliation Week with an Acknowledgement to Country by making a mandala of the Reconciliation Week motif using flowers and items from nature that represent our school and grounds.

Mansfield Steiner School acknowledges the Taungurung people, who are the traditional custodians of the land on which the school stands. We would like to pay our respects to their elders – past and present. We acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution that they make to the life of our school. “In this together” #NRW2020.
