Steiner Education Australia and The University of Sydney Create Centre present

Dancing the Divide: Creatively navigating competing discourses in education

An online conference over two sessions

SEA is excited to be in partnership with The University of Sydney CREATE Centre to offer an online event ‘Dancing the Divide: creatively navigating competing discourses in education’. This is a two-part On Con: 18 November, 10.00am – 12.30pm and 25 November, 10.00 – 12 noon.

Academics highly regarded globally for their research and advocacy for creativity and an arts-led curriculum, Professor Emerita Robyn Ewing AM and Professor Michael Anderson will present possibilities for reimagining education despite the significant education policy constraints we all endure.

Steiner based educators Matthew Cunnane and Nicole Ostini will be providing rich, creative presentations on how we ‘dance the divide’, drawing on Steiner pedagogical practices.

Dr Nikki Brunker from Sydney University will also be guiding participants in an interactive session where participants collaborate to find practical classroom based solutions to ‘dancing the divide’.

We would love you to be part of this event that is for all educators, teacher educators, academics and anyone interested in the central, intrinsic role creative pedagogy and the arts can and should play in the lives, learning and formal education of all people.
