Anouk Smith’s portrait selected as a finalist in The Lester portrait art competition

Congratulations to Anouk Smith for being selected as a finalist in the prestigious Lester Portrait Art Competition. Anouk is in year 11 and she painted the portrait of her friend Lani entirely during Art class. (In the photo below, Lani is on the right and Anouk is on the left). It was part of an in-class task in term 2 where we were exploring different styles of Expressive forms from Realism to Contemporary and Abstract Art. As an Art teacher I always encourage students to enter Art competitions and am regularly posting information to the students.
