Volunteer: Steiner School Board Director

Seeking a committed Non- Executive Board Director in a Not For Profit organisation, with an interest in finance oversight and education governance to take a unique growing Steiner School in Beachmere Queensland through to the next stage of development. This is an exciting stage for the Birali Steiner School and a rewarding volunteer role as a Board Director.

The Birali Board is focusing on Finance, Risk, Accountability within the Steiner Education philosophy.

• Generally, one Board meeting per month, with possible Board Sub Committee involvement
• Able to participate in Board meetings, accessing required Board documentation, engaging in meeting discussion – either virtually, or where possible and appropriate – in person
• Qld Blue Card registration essential – we can support application for this

Birali Steiner School has grown significantly in recent years. To ensure that the transition to the next growth stage can be achieved seamlessly, the Birali Board is now seeking the commitment of an additional Board Director – to assist with consideration of finance and legal oversight, risk management and with previous Board or education sector governance skills, complementing the experience and skills of existing Birali Board Directors.

As the successful applicant, it’s envisaged that along with strong governance understanding, you’ll also bring an understanding of risk and evidence of financial expertise.
