An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably experienced Secondary Teacher (Technical Studies) to join the Willunga Waldorf School.

About You
The successful applicant will be a team player with excellent communication skills (both with children/young person, colleagues and parents), possess a love of teaching, have a generally positive attitude and outlook, and be able to set boundaries with empathy and respect for students, colleagues and the parent community.
About the Role
As a specialist subject teacher, you will take primary responsibility for your subject area across the classes you teach. This requires a good knowledge of the curriculum indications not only for that subject, but also for the broad subject areas too, particularly within the year levels taught.
Key selection criteria:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with children/young people, parents and colleagues
- Suitable qualifications in Technical Studies at a Secondary level
- A demonstrated ability to confidently manage and cater for different learning needs
- Demonstrated commitment to working collegially and professionally with strong teamwork skills
- A commitment to the principle of ongoing teacher development both professionally and personally
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills when relating to students, teachers, parents, staff and the wider community
- Ability to set boundaries with empathy and respect for students, colleagues and the parent community
- An affinity with anthroposophy and overall strong commitment to Steiner Education (desirable)

Essential Qualifications/Certificates
- Minimum Bachelor of Education specialising in Technical Studies (including Drafting, Woodwork, Metalwork and Electronics), or comparable degree, diploma and /or certificates
- Blacksmithing qualification or professional experience
- Current registration with the Teachers Registration Board of SA
- Current SA Working with Children Check
- Current RRHAN-EC training certificate
- Current Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting certificate

Remuneration is based on the current Willunga Waldorf School Enterprise Agreement.
