Willunga Waldorf School is now inviting applications for a Class 8/9 Science Teacher to join our High School faculty during term 4, 2023.

About You
The successful applicant will be a team player with excellent communication skills (both with children/young person, colleagues and parents), possess a love of teaching, have a generally positive attitude and outlook, and be able to set boundaries with empathy and respect for students, colleagues and the parent community.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering two Science Main Lessons in the lower high school during weeks 1-6 of term 4, 2023.
Additional hours may be available during weeks 7-9 of term 4 to the right candidate.
Key selection criteria:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with children/young people, parents and colleagues
- Suitable qualifications in Science Teaching at a Secondary level
- A demonstrated ability to confidently manage and cater for different learning needs
- Demonstrated commitment to working collegially and professionally with strong teamwork skills
- A commitment to the principle of ongoing teacher development both professionally and personally
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills when relating to students, teachers, parents, staff and the wider community
- Ability to set boundaries with empathy and respect for students, colleagues and the parent community
- An affinity with anthroposophy and overall strong commitment to Steiner Education (desirable)

Essential Qualifications/Certificates
- Current registration with the Teachers Registration Board of SA
- Bachelor of Education (Science)
- Current SA Working with Children Check
- Current RRHAN-EC training certificate
- Current Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting certificate

This is a fixed term replacement contract position for 15 hours per week for weeks 1 to 6 of term 4 (16th Oct to 24th Nov).

Must be available 9am-11am, Mondays to Fridays.
Remuneration is based on the current Willunga Waldorf School Enterprise Agreement.
