On the retirement of the current principal, Linuwel School is seeking to appoint a new principal to lead the School in 2022.
The new principal will be responsible to the School’s Board of Directors for the day to day running of the School. They will work with the Education Committee to manage the content, quality and delivery of the educational program, and be supported by an executive team comprising the realm coordinators and business manager. The position will be a 5-year contract with remuneration reflecting the experience of the successful applicant.
The new principal will have a sound understanding of, and commitment to working out of, and cultivating, the impulse of Steiner education. They will foster the application of the principles of Steiner education and the underlying philosophy in the everyday school learning environment. They will have the capacity to work collaboratively and uphold the mission, vision and values of the School as they lead it into the future. They must be registered with NESA as a teacher and have leadership training and experience.
Linuwel is a K-12 school and preschool for Steiner education with approximately 300 students, established in 1979. It is situated in a semi-rural setting in the Hunter valley, a diverse and interesting region. With a harmonious and dedicated staff, wonderful children and a supportive school community, Linuwel provides the environment for a successful contemporary Steiner education.
