School Principal

An incredible opportunity exists to take on leadership of the well-established and highly successful Alice Springs Steiner School in Central Australia.

Established in 1996 and located on a beautiful block of land overlooking the MacDonnell Ranges south of town, the School has ~190 children from pre-school to Class 7 and a reputation for progressive and innovative delivery of holistic and caring education based on the philosophies of Rudolf Steiner. With established plans to expand our offering through to year 12 over the coming years, a sound financial base, a stable and committed teaching group and well-established professional practices, we are looking for an inspirational new leader with strong administrative and communication skills, who can work with the board, staff and the broader school community to support our existing Early Childhood and Primary faculties, and guide us in the growth of our new high school.

This role, which is critical to the ongoing success of the School, offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced individual with high level leadership, administration, communication and management skills who can demonstrate the expertise and proficiency needed to successfully run and grow an independent school.

Specifically, we are looking for someone who can operate in a collegiate manner and inspire the School community to work collectively towards shared goals; and the experience and desire to maintain and further develop the shared vision of this learning community.
