Primary Teacher

Sophia Mundi Steiner School invites applications for the position of Class Teacher. Applicants with experience teaching primary classes and with interest or qualifications in Steiner Education would be well received.   This is a full-time position.

We are looking for an experienced teacher who can deliver a creative and engaging curriculum while fostering a warm and nurturing classroom environment.  We seek teachers who are creative and engaging in the classroom and who can actively support Sophia Mundi’s ethos and values which foster a developmental, balanced, and global approach to teaching and learning. 

The successful applicant will demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively along with a commitment to performance development and professionalism in their work.  Experience in Steiner education or an understanding of Steiner pedagogy will be well regarded. 

Sophia Mundi Steiner School is an independent Steiner school located in the vibrant Abbotsford Convent Precinct.  We are situated adjacent to the Collingwood Children’s Farm on the banks of the Yarra River. At Sophia Mundi we value academic excellence which is supported through detailed teaching and learning processes. We offer the richness of the Steiner Education Australia (SEA) Curriculum from P-10 combined with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in Years 11 & 12.
