Primary Class Teacher – full-time permanent position

Aurora Southern Highlands Steiner School is seeking a Primary Class Teacher with qualifications and experience working in Steiner education.   

Aurora School is located in Bowral, NSW. We are a small, young, rapidly growing, Pre-K to Year 9 school with a single stream class structure for K – 4 and composite classes in the older years. We are working toward delivering the International Baccalaureate for Years 11 and 12 from 2023.

Aurora staff work collaboratively and professionally with a strong focus on student learning and a love of children. We are committed to developing healthy, purposeful education for today’s world and challenging students to continually improve. Our rich learning program includes specialist teachers in Eurythmy, Japanese, Craft and Music. We are a school that values innovation and input.

We are looking for an innovative, big-hearted primary class teacher to join our team in 2022. This is a rare opportunity as our staffing is very stable and this position has come up due to the final stage in our expansion to single stream classes. We are seeking an educator who works with energy, skill, flexibility and an enthusiasm for teaching. The preferred applicant will have training and experience in Steiner education and a commitment to professional learning. They will show a capacity for working in a team environment, sharing ideas and working harmoniously with others.
