Primary Class Teacher

A Primary Class Teacher Opportunity.

Lorien Novalis is seeking a Class Teacher to take the reins of our Year Three group of wonderful children from the beginning of the second semester this year through to the completion of Year Seven.

The Class Teacher works closely with colleagues, specialist teachers and Heads of Faculty and School to provide a learning program that is alive and provides a wide range of educational experiences in keeping with the school’s creative curriculum indications.

The teacher we are looking for will be someone who has taught in a Steiner school or who has training in Steiner Education, is a creative individual with a special interest in the education of young individuals and will work with the pedagogical indications of Rudolf Steiner and our school’s ethos. The arts in Steiner education is imperative. The teacher will have a love for the arts and skills in some arts and crafts according to Steiner pedagogy.

Lorien Novalis is a well-established (48 years) Preschool to Year 12 Steiner School in the Hills District of greater Sydney. We are 45 minutes from the CBD and 45 minutes to the Blue Mountains on a 16- acre plot of well landscaped and gardened bush land.

The applicant for this position will be a registered teacher with NESA, hold a current WWCC and be available for a full-time commitment to the position.

Salaries are determined by the school via The Independent School’s MEA and are set according to qualifications and years of experience.
