Employment Type: either one full time role or two part time roles (0.5 FTE each)

If part time, roles will consist of 5-day fortnights, with one role working Mondays, Tuesdays and alternating Wednesdays, and the other working alternating Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Commencement: January 2024

    Position Overview

    Shearwater is currently seeking caring and creative Teachers to provide a quality play-based education program for children aged 3 to 5, guided by the indications of Rudolf Steiner and built upon the platform in which the curriculum and daily practices are linked to the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework.

    This role may be split between two people, consisting of one teacher working with one Preschool group at the start of the week, and the other working with a second group at the end of the week, or one teacher working across the week full time with two different groups.

    The ideal candidate will hold an ACECQA approved Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) and will provide an environment which encourages imaginative play and creative expression, in which each child has the potential to develop creative, physical and social skills and have an understanding of early childhood development and educational foundations as indicated by Rudolf Steiner.
