Helena River Steiner School in Midland, Western Australia, is seeking a lead Kindergarten teacher for our mixed-age class (3-6 year olds), Monday –Thursday.
Our ideal candidate is a qualified and experienced early childhood teacher, has undergone Steiner/Waldorf teacher training, shows initiative, is flexible and adaptable to change and will be a contributing member of our organisation.
The successful candidate will be expected to plan, lead, record and assess the kindergarten program; hold strong daily, weekly and seasonal rhythms; collaborate effectively with colleagues; have excellent communication skills with parents; attend staff/committee meetings; and help organise festivals, parent-education evenings, and other community events throughout the year.
A passion for Steiner education is essential, although if no formal Anthroposophical studies have been completed, we will provide ongoing in-house and external training and support.
The candidate is required to have a valid W.A. teaching registration and a Working with Children Check.

About Helena River Steiner School
Our school journey began 5 years ago with a playgroup. In 2016 we began our first
mixed-age kindergaterten (3-6 yrs) and in 2017 our first mixed-age primary class.
We received school registration in July 2018 and our classes are growing steadily. The
exciting journey ahead of building a strong and stable school requires tenacity, creativity,
energy and a spirit of service and enthusiasm from all involved.
