Kindergarten Teacher – full-time permanent position

Kindergarten Teacher – full-time permanent position

Aurora Southern Highlands Steiner School is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher with qualifications and experience working in Steiner education.

Aurora School has been running for more than 6 years in Bowral, in the beautiful Southern Highlands. At Aurora Kindergarten, we provide a nurturing, home-like and adventurous environment for 4 to 6 year-olds, with a strong connection to nature.

We are seeking a NESA accredited (or eligible) teacher who loves children, loves to learn and loves to work in an enthusiastic and collaborative team environment. We are still a young school and love innovation and input.

We seek a teacher who is creative, warm, and understands the beauty and complexity of early years and 6 year-old challenges. We seek an educator who is able to actively support Aurora’s ethos and values; fostering a developmentally appropriate, balanced and open-minded approach to teaching and learning.

The successful applicant will have a deep understanding of early childhood Steiner pedagogy and philosophy along with a commitment to professionalism and self-development in their work.

This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a creative and committed College of Teachers.

We are about to open our second Kindergarten classroom, so you will work with another Kindergarten teacher.

Aurora is committed to the care, protection and learning of all children attending the school.  Our school is a place where children are nurtured, supported and challenged so that they can develop their capacities to grow into well-rounded human beings.

Applications are to include a letter of application, current CV and the names and contact details of three referees to be to emailed to James Goodlet  principal@aurorasteiner.nsw.edu.au  by 20th September 2019.
