Position Overview
Shearwater is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our TAS department as a part time Year 7-10 Textiles and Food Teacher. The successful candidate will support the High School TAS department in the delivery of educational programs through a variety of aspects. Ideal candidates will be skilled in Food Technology and Textiles and have demonstrated experience working within a classroom setting.
Ideal candidates will be inspired by Steiner education and dedicated to continuous improvement and reflective practices. Candidates must hold relevant teaching qualifications and experience and a NESA accreditation. While Steiner experience or qualifications are not essential, a willingness to learn is required. Support and guidance will be provided to successful candidates without a Steiner background.
You would be joining a collective of teachers dedicated to providing an imaginative approach to teaching and learning based on Steiner’s pedagogical insights, within a dynamic and progressive Steiner educational environment.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Working with Children Check as required under the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012
