High School Music Assistant

Employment Type: Permanent Part Time (full stand down provisions apply)

Hours & Days of Work: Four days per week, 5 hours per day

Commencement: January 2024

Position Overview

Shearwater is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Music department as a part time High School Music Assistant. The successful candidate will support the High School Music department with the maintenance and management of equipment and instruments, the departmental administration and by supporting student’s education in various capacities. This role also provides support for numerous school events and festivals involving music and sound equipment.

Ideal candidates will have experience in a similar position assisting music instruction and providing technical assistance. They will have demonstrated experience working in a school environment and be inspired by Steiner education. While Steiner experience or qualifications are not essential, a willingness to learn is required.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Working with Children Check as required under the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012
