High School Art Teacher


The Mount Barker Waldorf School is an established coeducational, independent school serving over 300 students from Early Childhood through Year 12. The school is located in the Adelaide Hills on a picturesque 20 acres.  We offer a full Waldorf Curriculum to Year 12 with Art as an integral part of our curriculum.

We are seeking an experienced High School Art teacher for our Fine Arts programme from years 8 to 12 to replace a retiring teacher.  This is a permanent part time position starting in Term 2, 2018 with the possibility of full time work in 2019 depending on the skills of the appointed candidate. An interest in music, drama and/or Eurythmy would be welcomed.  Additionally, experience in Art exhibitions and interest in actively developing the Arts in the wider community.  The successful applicant must have experience working with adolescents and be registered or eligible for registration as a teacher in South Australia.  Training and/or experience teaching in a Waldorf education desired.  The ideal candidate will possess a sense for aesthetics, be a working artist who can contribute to developing a rich artistic community.
