Golden Hill Steiner School provides a wonderful place for children to shine. Located in the beautiful coastal town of Denmark, WA, we are approximately 400kms south of Perth.
Established 35 years ago, the school has grown to offer a full Steiner curriculum from Playgroup to Class 7, expanding to Class 10 by 2026.
Golden Hill Steiner School is committed to being a child safe organisation, taking a preventative and participatory stance on child protection issues and promoting a child safe environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic Education Assistant, with a desire to work with an understanding of Steiner’s philosophy of child development, to join our wonderful team. The position is 0.9 FTE (35 hr/week), Monday to Friday, working with a range of students.

Selection Criteria
- Knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents.
- Sound oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with students, parents and teaching professionals.
- Sound interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.
- Sound organisational skills that will assist in the delivery of effective educational programs to students.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate lV in Education Support (or approved equivalent)
- Current WA Working with Children Check
- A knowledge of, or genuine interest in, and willingness to learn about Steiner education
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills
- First Aid qualification
Desirable
- Able to knit and/or crochet
- Able to play recorder
- Able to read music
