Early Childhood Teacher, Taraleigh Steiner Kindergarten Victoria


We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher for a part time fixed term position commencing July 2022 until December 2022.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our kindergarten service using the integrated approach and curriculum of Steiner education.

The role comprises of 24 hours per week across 3 days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday)

Remuneration in line with the VECTEA2020.

About Taraleigh Steiner Kindergarten

We are an independent early childhood education provider situated in Bentleigh East and offer a mixed age (3 to 5 year old) sessional kindergarten program offering the nationally accredited Steiner curriculum based on the educational insights of Rudolf Steiner.

We aim to support each individual child, with an understanding of their stage in childhood development and with this understanding, we encourage each child’s unique gifts and emerging potentials to unfold in a nurturing, imaginative and guided environment.

The position

The role requirements are:

  • Victorian teacher registration (Victorian Institute of Teaching)
  • A strong understanding of the Education and Care National Law Act 2010 and Regulations 2011
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to children’s needs and classroom dynamics
  • A high level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Current First Aid certificate

The successful applicant will be required to provide a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) less than 6 months old
