Early Childhood Teacher – commencing Term One, 2023

Tarremah is currently seeking a full-time Early Childhood Teacher, who has training and experience in Rudolf Steiner Early Childhood Education. The ideal candidate will be an accredited Early Childhood teacher who is eligible to work in Tasmania and who can demonstrate experience in a Steiner preschool / Kindergarten, with an ongoing commitment to further professional development in Steiner education. We are looking for a warm, friendly, caring, and creative person with excellent communication skills and an ability to relate to a wide cross section of people in a thoughtful and nurturing manner.

We offer a beautiful ‘home-away-from–home’ environment for children aged three to six years old. Our Kindergartens value the importance of self-initiated play, artistic work, and home-based activities to meet the needs of this active and imitative stage of childhood. Our programme explores the joyous yet simple experiences of each day, the seasons and special occasions through circle activities, oral literacy and play, developing social cohesion in preparation for their learning journey into the Primary School.

Tarremah is a well-established Steiner school in nipaluna / Hobart, lutruwita / Tasmania. Situated on acreage bordering a beautiful natural native reserve, with views to kunanyi / Mt Wellington, Tarremah has students from playgroup to Year 10.
