YSS is looking for an imaginative and committed teacher prepared to commit to the challenging and rewarding task of guiding a well-prepared group of children through their primary years.

Our school is well established and offers Playgroup to Class 6. The school offers a unique place-based learning program which includes close ties with the local indigenous Undalup Association.

YSS is nestled in the hills of Yallingup close to the sea where the magnificent coastline of WA’s South-West stretches between Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin.

Essential Criteria

  1. Experience in delivering the Primary curriculum (classes 1-6) in a Steiner School or a willingness to engage in further learning to develop these understandings
  2. Sound understanding ofchildhood development, Steiner pedagogy and philosophy or a willingness to engage in further learning
  3. A demonstrated ability to confidently manage and cater for the different learning needs of children.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively, collegially and professionally
  5. A commitment to the principle of ongoing teacher learning
  6. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills when relating to students, teachers, parents, staff and the wider community
  7. A sound range of artistic abilities to support the delivery of a Steiner Education learning program
  8. Registration with the Teachers Registration Board WA
  9. WA Working With Children’s Check
  10. Current First Aid Certificate
