Class 1 Teacher and Relief Teacher Aetaomah School
Aetaomah School in Northern NSW is seeking a Class 1 Teacher, with commitment to take the class through to year 7 or year 8 commencing in 2022 and a relief teacher who could, from November 1, this year, work with class 4 & 5, until the end of this term 4. It is possible that the relief teacher could become the Class 1 teacher in 2022. No guarantees at this stage.
Aetaomah is a small rural school with around 65 students from Kindergarten to Year 8, in the hills behind the Tweed Coast about 50 minutes drive from the QLD border. Class sizes are from 9 to 15 this year. This area, south of Murwillumbah is a culturally diverse imaginative society.
The person we are looking for has;
- A love of teaching young children
- A desire to deepen the understanding of Rudolf Steiner’s work
- Love for speech and eurythmy
- A passion for the arts
- Skills in handcraft
- Joy in outdoor activities
The teacher would be expected to be registered as a teacher with NSW Education Standards Authority and hold a Working With Children’s Check and meets the requirements the current NSW Public Health Order relating to mandatory vaccination of Education and Care workers. A background in Steiner Education is desirable. Salaries are paid in accordance with the NSW Independent Schools M.E.A.
