The Alice Springs Steiner School is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Class 1 teacher to commence in January 2023. The successful applicant will be passionate about education. They will understand Steiner pedagogy and have a willingness to learn more.

About the school

The Alice Springs Steiner School is located 10-minutes from the town of Mparntwe / Alice Springs at the base of Tjoritja ranges. The school is established, having begun in 1996, with classes from Playgroup to Middle school and we have 178 students enrolled. We have an enthusiastic, active, and highly involved parent community and a collegial teacher group who are motivated by sincere love and respect for our students. The school provides strong mentorship in a supportive environment.

As a teacher, you and your students have an incredible landscape to learn from. Embracing place, our local curriculum draws on the incredible knowledge and living culture of the traditional owners of the country surrounding Alice Springs, the Arrernte people.

  2. CV – to include: Working with Children Check, teaching qualifications, ability to gain teacher registration in the NT, interests, a brief summary of your career outlining relevant positions you have held and major responsibilities.
  3. The names, positions and telephone contact numbers for at least three referees who can comment on your suitability for this position, including one referee at your current school.

Please note – It could be possible for the right applicant to begin in Term 4, 2022, as an assistant to work towards the above Class 1 Class teacher position.
