Perth Waldorf School invites applications for Business Manager/Coordinator. This is an ongoing role that calls to someone who wants the challenge of leading and managing a diverse range of processes in a vibrant and growing school.

There are parts of this role which are about policies, legislation and compliance however most of the role should be managing and overseeing change and growth in a dynamic and vibrant school community. You need to lead from behind and bring everyone along with you.

As the Business Manager/Coordinator you will work in a small team of office staff and focus mainly on the non-educational aspects of running a large independent school with two growing campuses.

at least 2 years’ experience in an administration role that ensures a smooth transition into a school environment

This role requires wise, efficient and high-quality support to the School Administrator and school staff as well as leadership. It will include coordination, planning and change management specifically in the non-educational aspects of the school’s daily operations.

The applicant must have the ability to develop, over time, a clearly-articulated understanding of the essential ethos of Steiner Education at the heart of
Perth Waldorf School, and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

The school is located in a bushland setting in the southern suburbs of Perth, Australia (approx. 20 minutes from the CBD). Nearby is the popular and cosmopolitan town of Fremantle and the school is only 15 minutes from the coast. We provide a full Steiner curriculum from Playgroup to Class 12. We also have a separate campus being developed for Class 7 to 12 in Parkerville.

This position will be subject to a three-month review and a six-month probation period.
