The Art of Education is a one-year part-time program offered by Samford Valley Steiner School for those interested in beginning or deepening their understanding of anthroposophy.

The program develops participants’ knowledge, understanding and practical experience of Steiner education and the spiritual impulse of Anthroposophy.
The Art of Education comprises of four modules, with 8 workshop sessions spread across the year. Workshop hours are Fridays 4pm – 7.30pm and Saturdays 8.30am – 3pm and each workshop session will include a lecture/discussion, movement/singing and artistic activities. Dinner on the Fridays as well as morning tea and lunch on Saturdays are provided.

The lectures are related to the Anthroposophical perspective of human nature, child development, as well as the elements of Steiner pedagogy. Artistic activities include painting, drawing, clay modelling/ sculpture, blackboard drawing, Eurythmy, and music.
